In order to achieve this, the system has a built-in camera that performs presence detection—a technology that identifies whether a person is seated in front of the device.
1. Key Privacy Commitments
No Image or Video Capture: The camera does not record, capture, store, or transmit any images, videos, or identifiable visual data of passengers.
2. Presence Detection Only
The system uses shape recognition algorithms solely to detect the presence of a human-like silhouette (e.g., shape of a human head) to trigger advertisement playback.
3. No Personal Data Collection
We do not collect, process, or share any personal data or biometric information through this system.
4. No Surveillance or Monitoring
The camera is not used for surveillance, monitoring, or any form of behavioural tracking.
5. Transparency and Accountability
We have conducted a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) to ensure the system is proportionate, necessary, and minimally intrusive.
The system operates under a privacy-first architecture, and we continuously review our practices to maintain compliance with evolving privacy regulations.
